Meet Caleigh Nation, an All Star Cheerleader who also loves Lake Lanier! Caleigh is the Vice President of Marketing for DECA at North Hall and recently won 6th in the State with her team in the Community Giving Project. She and her team (Bethany Bennett and Kanady Truelove) will be traveling to Orlando in April to compete in DECA’s International Competition. She is fun, caring, and helpful to others. Caleigh can be found riding her jet-ski with lots of friends in her spare time. She has lived in Gainesville, Georgia her whole life and loves to watch football and baseball at North Hall.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in your community?

A: “They’re definitely Mellow Mushroom, Wild Wing Cafe, Atlas Pizza.”

 

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

A: “Jill Bowen. She was my English teacher last year and always had the best attitude and stories to tell.” 

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: “I would go to Baja California Sur, Mexico because of the people and beautiful beaches there.”

 

Q: What advice would you want to give or leave with people?

A: “Live life to the fullest because you don’t know when it will come to an end.”

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: “I see myself in medical school to become a Forensic Pathologist.”

 

Q: Favorite Month? Favorite holiday? And the best single day on the calendar?

A: ”My favorite month would be July. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and the best day on the calendar is December 25th.”

 

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

A: “Summer and Riding my jet-ski on Lake Lanier with my friends.”

 

Q: Who inspires you to do better?

A: “My aunt Darci, she is always cheering me on and I will forever be thankful for her support and love.” 


Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: “I love Christmas time around Gainesville because of the lights on Green street and the Christmas spirit everyone has.”

 

Q: What are some of your hobbies and interests?

A: “I love to read and do art, but also do Allstar cheer at Spirit Tech Cheerleading.” 

 

Q: Who is your favorite teacher or faculty member at North Hall?

A: “My favorite teacher at North Hall is Mr. Major. He always has a smile on his face when I walk in through his classroom door and he listens to what students have to say while also caring.”
