Q. How long have you lived or worked in the community?
A. “I have lived in Hall County since 2nd grade and I have lived on the property I live on now since ‘85. It is a horse farm. When I was in high school, I went to school and came home to take care of 26 horses. We raised and boarded hunter jumpers. I competed and fox hunted. My twin sister and I were in the graduating class of 1989.”
Q. Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in the community?
A. “My husband. He is a business man and owns a commercial industrial cleaning company. He is also a graduate of North Hall and was on the State Board of Education. My family has an honest relationship of love and humor. We are each other’s greatest advocate and keep each other accountable with humor and funny memes.”
Q. If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, with whom would you have lunch?
A. “Georgia O’Keefe. She was my favorite artist. She was also an art educator and she created a different vision of art for that time period. She is a 20th century artist. For women, in the field, she was impactful by creating opportunity and recognition of women as artists”

A. “I love Scott’s, my favorite thing to get there is the seared tuna”

Q. In hard times we can see and sometimes recognize greatness in those around us. Hard working. Positive attitudes. Helping on the front lines. Who is one of our local shining lights today?
A. “I work hard to find that light in everybody. I would like to think that everybody personifies that at some point”
Q. What is one of the most beautiful places you’ve ever been?
A. One of the greatest trips we took with our boys was to drive all around Nova Scotia. When you can watch a humpback whale breach in the distance, wow! Also, my friends live in Montana and we hiked 10,000 feet to Trapper’s Peak. Standing on top of a mountain in July with snow and looking out was breathtaking.”
