Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A: “I am married to Michelle, who is a physical therapist; and we have one child, Finn, who is 10 years old.”

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
A: “I have been a part of the North Hall High School faculty since 2001 as a teacher, coach, and for the last 10 years, an assistant principal.”

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “There are so many to choose from! You can’t beat Longstreet for breakfast and seeing everyone you know. For lunch, it would have to be one of our great barbecue spots Johnny’s Barbecue, Sherrie’s Bait and Barbecue or Inked Pig. For dinner, Atlas, Sliced, or El Sombrero.”

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
A: “I was born here in Hall County and have lived and worked here my entire life.”

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “The late Jerry Bowers was one of my high school history teachers who had an amazing ability to tell a great story. He also led a pretty interesting life outside of his career in the classroom.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite TV show right now is Ted Lasso.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?

A: “Take advantage of any opportunity to learn from those around you. Find someone with a passion for something and let them share it with you.”

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

A: “My current local business would be Greens Grocery, and my former would be The Monkey Barrel.”

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: “Alton Brown. I am a foodie with a science background and I have always loved how he brings cooking and science together. I would meet for lunch in my kitchen and let him teach me how to cook something.”

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: “It is hard to beat Lake Lanier. When growing up here it is easy to take it for granted, but very few places have this kind of resource right in their back yard.”

A: “Still serving my community. It is important to me to add value to lives of those around me and the best way I can do that is to help young people learn.”
