Meet Ryan Hill! We enjoyed having Ryan as a Teacher and Softball Coach through the 22-23 school year. He is a proud husband, father, and a caring family man. Both of his daughters go to school in the north hall community.

We would like to thank Coach Hill for taking the time to let us interview him.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: “My wife works at Buford High School and she is their soccer coach. I have 2 daughters, 7 and 4.”

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?

A: “I am a teacher and the softball coach. I too work with young kids and I love having the opportunity to teach them how to do things both in and out of the classroom.”

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: “I would have to say Bluefin and Inked Pig.”

Q: How long have you lived in our community?

A: “I moved here 6 years ago and have worked at North Hall for 5.”

Q:What advice would you want to leave with people?

A: “It’s not what you say, it’s how you act. Your actions matter more than your words and as a coach my example means more to my players than anything I say.”

Q: If you could choose anyone alive today and not a relative, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch”

A: “Nick Saban, he’s an elite coach and he has been for so long. I would love to sit down at a BBQ restaurant with him.”

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

A: “That’s a tough question, but I would have to say this band called Stick Figure. They make some really good, relaxing reggae music.”

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

A: “Costa Rica for my honeymoon, the beaches and the mountains all combined together perfectly.”

Q: What would you rate a 10/10?

A: “Just a sunset dinner on the beach with my family.”

Q: Who would you want to play you in  a movie about your life?

A: “Zach Galifianakis.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: “Our players, I want to be the best coach I can possibly be for them. Also people in our school, other sports see success and it motivates me to want to be able to hang with their success.”

Q: What are 3 words or phrases you think about when you hear “North Hall High School?”

A: “Community, Passion, and Character.”
