Meet Sergeant Fleming, the School Resource Officer at North Hall High School. SRO Fleming loves his wife, children, and the atmosphere at North Hall. He treats every student as if they were his own child, providing advice and caring for us. Sergeant Fleming is loved by both students and faculty at North Hall High School.

We would like to thank SRO Fleming for his time and his service to our school and community.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: “ My wife is a substitute teacher here. I have a daughter, who is a teacher at Tadmore Elementary. I have a son, he is 26, and he has been in the Air Force for 6 years. My wife is a rule follower. And she wants you to be successful.”

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?

A: “I am a School Resource Officer, or the SRO, at North Hall. The biggest thing I love most about what I do is working with you guys. Y’all make this job fun. When people are having bad days, they come and find me. When people are having good days they come and find me. Yeah, there are some days I have to charge somebody, but my motto always is I’d rather fuss at you and send you back to class. If you really want me to do the paperwork I will do it for free, and I don’t judge. If you’re having a bad day, we can walk for a while… and talk for a while, I’d much rather do that.”

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

A: “I’ve lived in Georgia since 2000. I’ve been a police officer or a Sheriffs Deputy since September of 2001.”

Q: What advice would you want to give or leave with people?

A: “ Treat other people as you want to be treated. If you want to be treated right, treat others with respect.”

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community? And secondly, what is something you hope our community has or does in the future?

A: “ I like how everyone always comes together when the community needs them. Everyone always lends a helping hand and wants the best for their peers and community in all.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: “ I hope to be retired, or still working in the law enforcement field.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: “ I would love to go back to Japan.”

Q: And, what is something you have been proud to check off your bucket list?

A: “My trip to Japan. Japan is beautiful. We went and visited our son there in 2019. The flight was 20+ hours of flying. They still believe in the ancestry over there.”

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been to?

A: “Japan.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: “ My wife. She always pushes me to be my best and always try my hardest. With everything I do she is always there for me.”

Q: What are 3 words or phrases you think about when you hear “North Hall High School”?

A:  “ Together as one. The North Hall Community is very close and everyone is there for one another.”
