Meet Kanady! She is North Hall student and in the graduating class of 2025. She is on the Varsity spirit cheer team, involved in the Trojan Yearbook staff, and Vice President of Partnerships for North Hall DECA. Kanady recently placed 6th in the state with her team and their Community Giving Project. Kanady and her team (Bethany Bennett and Caleigh Nation) will travel to Orlando in April to compete in DECA’s International Competition. She has lived in Gainesville, Georgia her whole life, and is following in the footsteps of her sister and parents by attending North Hall. She is kind, helpful, friendly, and so much more.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “ Some of my favorite places to eat are Sliced and Inn-Between Deli”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “ Trina Wingo.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “ I would go to Europe because it would be really different and overall a cool experience.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “ Gossip Girl or Gilmore Girls.”
Q: What advice would you want to give or leave with people?
A: “ To always be kind to people.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “ I would like to be an entrepreneur with my own business, I’m unsure what though.”
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: “ Ensenada, Mexico. Not because of the landscape but because of the community.”
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “ Friday night football games.”
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: “ Anything fall related.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “ My mom because she is always pushing me to be the best version of myself.”
Q: Did any of your family attend North Hall?
A: “ Both my parents, Leslie and Todd Truelove attended North hall. My sister Hallie also did.”
