Meet Cole Grover, a very talented student at North Hall High School. Cole will shock you with his amazing voice and lyrics. When first meeting Cole, you will have no idea of his musical talents. As soon as he starts to play though, you will be surprised at the power in his voice and songs. Before starting his musical career, Cole played basketball in middle school. He now focuses on music and plays at several places throughout Hall County. Cole loves music so much, he would love to turn his passion into a career when he goes to college. He also loves his family for giving the support he needs, and for driving him to all of his gigs.

Q: Tell us about yourself.

A: “I’m in 9th grade and I played sports my whole life up until 8th grade, which were basketball and baseball.”

 

Q: What is your favorite thing about North Hall?

A: “Probably being able to sit wherever you want at lunch.”  

 

Q: Who is your favorite Teacher or Faculty member?

A: “Coach Hargis.”

 

Q: What is your favorite thing about playing the guitar?

A: “I like to be able to just chill and play my guitar, it’s kind of like my way of disconnecting from everyone. But I also play gigs as much as I can.”

 

Q: When did you start playing music?

A: “ I have played the piano since I was 3 and kept playing because my parents made me, but then I started liking it. Then I moved from the piano to the guitar a year ago, and now I mostly just play the guitar.”

 

Q: Are you self taught, or do you take guitar lessons?

A: “Well, I’m mostly self taught. I recently started taking some lessons.”   

 

Q: What is your most recent song you wrote?

A: “I wrote one about a week ago for my sister and I actually posted it on Instagram.”

 

Q: Where have you played?

A: “I played at Hopscotch a couple times, I played at Gainesville square, I played at Cork It, and I played in Maysville a couple times, and they’re paying gigs.”

 

Q: Do you have any other hobbies?

A: “I like to play basketball.”

 

Q: Tell me about your future career plans?

A: “I would like to produce my music on Apple Music, and hopefully that will blow up and I can get paid for doing it. Hopefully I can go to college for music at a place like UNG”

 

Q: Who would you want to read this interview?

A: “I want more local restaurant owners to hire me to play for them.”

 

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: “Play at the Red Rock concert.”
