Meet Harold Daniels! Coach Daniels was North Hall’s Athletic Director from 2000 to 2013. He was born in Columbus, GA, and lived in Buena Vista, GA for a stent. Daniels attended Tri-County High School and graduated in 1978, he then signed to play baseball at Georgia Southwestern State University. Daniels graduated college in 1982 with a Health and PE/Rec degree and began a Coaching career in Albany, GA. He then moved to Gainesville in 1988 and has been here for 35 years.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: “I am married for 35 years to Susan Daniels, a teacher, and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.”

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. 

A: “Assistant Principal/AD at North Hall-2000-2013. I loved being at NH and being a part of a great Community School.”

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants or shops in our community?

A: “Texas Roadhouse, Longhorns, Biba’s Italian, Atlas Pizza, and Sam’s Club for the frozen yogurt.”

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

A: “35 years.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: “I don’t like to travel abroad right now. I like seeing our Country the most as there is a lot to see.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: “Major Payne. Sanford and Son and Andy Griffin.”

Q: What advice would you give to people?

A: “Work as if you were working for the Lord! If you please the Lord, others will be pleased.”

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community

A: “Longstreet Cafe.”

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: “Dale Murphy. Loved watching him play baseball. Longhorns.”

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique you love about our community?

A: “The lake is nice and the great people that live here.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: “Just being me. I love a servant’s heart. Probably still driving buses.”

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

A: “I like to Sing.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

A: “A great dove shoot.”

Q: What words or phrases come to mind when you think of NHHS?

A: “Get it done! Working goes with Winning.”
