Meet Steve Oliver. Mr. Oliver is truly the class clown, but just so happens to be the teacher. He is the Welding teacher at North Hall High School, and runs the club Skills USA. Also, he is a father of two and married to Dana Oliver. He is weird in his own way which is how why his students love him so much. He gets along with all of his students, and once you get to talk to him you can tell he is a really funny and outspoken person.

Q: What is your current career, and what do you love most about it?

A: “I’m a Welding teacher at North Hall, and I love to see students succeed and do really good. Like when someone tries and they’re not really good at Welding and they learn and they start getting really good at Welding.”

 

Q: What are your favorite restaurants in the community?

A: “Senior fiesta, and Reid’s.”

 

Q:Who is the most interesting person you have met in our community?

A: “Ellis Robertson, he’s just…. Different.”

 

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: “Honestly, I would like to go to Tahiti or something. I’ve been a lot of places and I’ve never been to Tahiti”

 

Q:What advice would you want to give or leave with people?

A: “A bad Weld is just a happy accident.”

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: “I don’t know where I see myself tomorrow, are you kidding me? I’m just kidding, but in 5 to 10 years I would like students to mind me, want to work, and have a good work ethic.”

 

Q: Are you an introvert or extrovert?

A: “Neither, I’m just a happy in between.”

 

Q: What is something you would rate 10 out of 10?

A: “Me. I’m just kidding.”

 

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

A: “Texas. I have been all over Texas. I like New York too because it’s different, it’s something you don’t see everyday.”
